Annual Progress Report
Administrative Overview
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT: The 2004-2005 school year has been a very active and successful year for the Board of Education at St. Paul the Apostle School. The year began with the announcement that the Davenport Diocese would recognize the collaborative efforts of our local parish schools to establish a Scott County, preschool-12th grade, Advisory Committee in lieu of a single, unified School Board. This collective effort has allowed St. Paul's to retain local control and decision making by our School Board. We also are provided the opportunity to work more closely with our other parish schools to help ensure the future success of Catholic education in our community. We continue to make strides advancing on a number of goals during the second year of our Strategic Plan. We are getting close to reaching the target of our teachers salaries amounting to 85% of the Davenport Public School scale. We have experienced tremendous success through the hard work of the Grant Committee, growing our outside funding sources. To date, they have secured over $55,000 in grants and have a couple more major requests awaiting decisions. Our PR and Marketing Committee continues to develop great programs, just one of which, is enhancing our recruitment efforts for bringing new students to our school. Finally, our Stewardship focus has resulted in increased participation by parents and students in helping support the many activities of our school and the parish. The Building and Grounds Committee is a prime example of Stewardship in action, as they have worked on many enhancements to our school facility. The Board of Education ofSt. Paul the Apostle School is committed to providing a quality, affordable Catholic education for our children. However, none of this could be possible without the support and dedication of our priests, parishioners, parents, teachers and staff members. We thank you for your continued support of St. Paul the Apostle School. Ted Rogalski
