Scholarship Opportunities

The St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School and Parish family is proud to offer a number of scholarships that recognize and reward student service to their church and community, as well as academic achievement. Through the generosity of many families and individuals, and for those who have committed to living a Stewardship Way of Life, a variety of scholarship opportunities are available at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School.

The St. Paul the Apostle Stewardship Covenant Scholarships for St. Paul the Apostle Religious
Education, St. Paul the Apostle School and Assumption High School.

These scholarships are for those parishioners of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Davenport, who have tried to take seriously the Stewardship Covenant which they have signed with the parish. God has been a generous God and so we return to Him a share of our Time and Talent and Treasure.

Those who have already reached giving 2% of their income (line 22 of Form 1040) to the parish as reflected on the Parish Statement which is issued in January, are eligible to apply for this scholarship. If there is financial need, they should apply for the “Embracing Our Future Family Tuition Plan” first.

If one would be willing to move their giving to the 5% level starting in July and proportioned to our
three-way giving plan (5/8 to church, 2/8 to educational ministries and 1/8 to Annual Diocesan
Appeal), there would be no tuition for St. Paul the Apostle Religious Education, one-half tuition at
St. Paul the Apostle School and one-fourth tuition at Assumption High School. If one would
receive a sizable grant from the “Embracing Our Future Family Tuition Plan”, then there would be
no tuition at any of our educational ministries including Assumption High School.

If one would be willing to move their giving to the 8% level starting in July and proportioned to our three-way giving plan (5% of income to Church, 2% of income to Educational Ministries and 1% of income to Annual Diocesan Appeal), there would be no tuition at any of our educational ministries including assumption High School.

There is currently a moratorium for accepting applications for students in Grades 7-12, because it would seem that they have already had the opportunity to enter this program prior to this time. New people to the parish would be eligible to apply with the recommendation of their previous Pastor and the submission of a financial statement from their previous parish. The deadline for application would be May 1st.
