Scholarship Opportunities

The St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School and Parish family is proud to offer a number of scholarships that recognize and reward student service to their church and community, as well as academic achievement. Through the generosity of many families and individuals, and for those who have committed to living a Stewardship Way of Life, a variety of scholarship opportunities are available at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School.

The St. Paul the Apostle Stewardship Covenant Scholarships

The St. Paul the Apostle Stewardship Covenant Scholarships are available for St. Paul the Apostle Religious Education, St. Paul the Apostle School, and Assumption High School. These scholarships are for those parishioners of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Davenport, who are living the Stewardship Covenant they have signed with the parish. God has been a generous God and so we return to Him a share of our time, talent, and treasure.

Those who have achieved giving 2% of their income to the parish (line 22 of Form 1040 and reflected in January’s Parish Statement) are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Those families with financial need should apply for the “Family Tuition Plan” first.

Those willing to move their giving to the 5% level starting in July and proportioned to our three-way giving plan (5/8 to church, 2/8 to educational ministries, and 1/8 to Annual Diocesan Appeal) will have no tuition at St. Paul the Apostle Religious Education program, one-half tuition at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School, and one-fourth tuition at Assumption High School. If eligible for a sizable grant from the “Family Tuition Plan”, no tuition would apply at any of our educational ministries, including Assumption High School.

Those willing to move their giving to the 8% level starting in July and proportioned to our three-way giving plan noted above would have no tuition at any of our educational ministries, including Assumption High School.

Please be aware that the 2009-2010 school year is the last year for unlimited access (Preschool-Grade 12) to this program. Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, a moratorium for the Stewardship Covenant Scholarships will be in place for students grades 7-12, as families have had the opportunity to enter this program for several years prior to this time. New members to the parish may be eligible to apply with the recommendation of their previous pastor and the submission of a financial statement from their previous parish. The deadline for application is May 1.
