Lunch Options St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School does not have a hot lunch program; however, some school groups have made it possible for certain lunches to be served at school, with these options varying by semester. Past examples of these options include hot dogs and chips on Mondays, hamburgers with fruit or chips on Wednesdays, Taco in a Bag on Thursdays, and Happy Joe’s pizza on Fridays. Milk is offered five days weekly. The schedule of lunch options and fees are paid per semester at registration in August and in December for the second semester. Extracurricular Activities: St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School is proud to offer a variety of extracurricular activities to enhance our students’ learning. Classes and clubs are in existence to promote involvement in Fine Arts, Sports, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Drama, Scouting, and various other volunteer and community service projects. Some activities have fees associated with them that are announced as students sign up for participation. A few standard fees include: Band:(Grades 5-8) $50.00 per semester/per child Band Parent Group:(Families with band students only)$5.00 per family Booster Club Membership:(Families with 6-7-8 grade students only)$35.00 per family Any other miscellaneous fees for classroom materials, subscriptions, or activities are announced as needed. Transportation Transportation is provided through the State of Iowa in cooperation with the Davenport Community Schools to those students (K-5) living one-and-a-half miles from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School and those students (6-8) living two miles from our school. Students in other Iowa districts may receive parental reimbursement from the State of Iowa for transportation privately provided. |
