Preschool/Kindergarten Round Up Dates – Please mark your calendar

3-year-olds - Thursday, February 23, 2012
3-year-old Preschooler students must be 3-years-old by 9/15/12
3yr & PreK Room - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

A $100.00 nonrefundable registration fee must be included with registration form.
There is no 3-year-old Preschool on February 23.

4- year-old Preschooler students must be 4-years-old by 9/15/12
4 yr Preschool Room - 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

A $100.00 nonrefundable registration fee must be included with registration form.
There is no 4-year-old Preschool on February 23.

Pre-Kindergarten - Thursday, February 23, 2012
PreK students must be 5 by 1/1/13
3yr & PreK Room - 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

A $100.00 nonrefundable registration fee must be included with registration form.
There is no Pre-Kindergarten on February 23.

Kindergarten - Tuesday, February 21, 2012
Student must be 5-years-old by 9/15/12
Denning Hall:
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
A $200.00 registration fee must be included with registration form. $100.00 is registration fee and $100.00 is required to hold the seat for the coming school year.

The $100.00 will go toward the student’s tuition. Both fees are nonrefundable.
There is no Kindergarten on Tuesday, February 21.

Students from St. Paul the Apostle School attended the 2012 Southeast Iowa Choral Director's Honor Choir on Friday, February 3. These students worked with music directors Cathy Hannon and Julie Skalak to prepare for this event. They, and more than 100 other students, spent the day at Tipton H.S. working with 2 guest conduc-tors. They put on an evening performance for friends and family. It was a wonderful vocal music experience!

Participants were 6th graders: Liz Bitterman, Anna Corlett, Grace Estes, Molly Gervase, Maddy Hopkins, Grace Jacobsen, Sydney Johnson, and Payton Kundel.

Seventh graders included: Emma Gradin, Isabella Zepeda, Hannah Haut and Mary Jacobsen.

Eighth graders Abigail Fer, Madeline Fer and Emily Hill also participated.

STEWARDSHIP WAY OF LIFE

as outlined by our Stewardship Covenant including the 8% tithe, there are no
tuition charges at any of our educational ministries including Assumption High School.

Living a Stewardship Way of Life involves certain expectations, for example

For the most part, that parents and students attend Mass as a family in their parish Church on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.

Families and students try to avail themselves of the many opportunities to give of their time and talent to the parish and to the school.

In addition to Stewardship of Time and Talent, families should use their Church envelopes on a somewhat regular basis to exercise Stewardship of Treasure. The nonuse of envelopes indicates inactivity in the parish. We recommend that financial giving to the parish be according to the St. Paul Three-Way Giving Program. (moving closer to the biblical tithe of 5% for parish, 2% for education ministries and 1% for Annual Diocesan Appeal.)

Our parish tithes church envelope income 8% for these charities: Churches United CareLINK, St. Paul’s Works, Embracing our Future (Scott County Schools K-12, and the St. Paul’s Charity Fund.

To all school personnel, committee heads, scout parents and others who wish to schedule Denning Hall, McEleney, the Board Room, Gathering Space and Church, please plan ahead! Call Donna @ 322-7994 or e-mail (preferred) davstpaul@diodav.org to schedule the area you would like to use.
