We Welcome Our New Principal,
Mrs. Julie Delaney
It is wonderful to be back home at St. Paul
the Apostle Catholic School in my new role
as principal. My 25 years in education have
been in Catholic schools. My most recent
experience was at Lourdes Catholic School in
Bettendorf where I served as principal last
school year. Prior to that, I was here at St.
Paul the Apostle School for 18 years primarily
as the 7/8th grade Science teacher and
homeroom Religion teacher.
Originally from Dubuque, Iowa, I received a Catholic education at St.
Joseph the Worker School. My husband, John, grew up in Fort Madison,
Iowa, and attended Aquinas Catholic Schools. John is an Associate Professor
in the Accounting Department at Augustana College. Our son,
Brian, is a Junior at Assumption High School. It is Great to be back! |
We Welcome Ray Knight as our
new Youth Minister
I am the second of five children to Valerie
and James Knight of Carlinville, IL. I spent
the last five years of my life in the greater
Chicagoland area spending my college years
on the Northside at Loyola University, spending
a year on the Southside at St. Rita of Cascia
High School in the classroom, Campus
Ministry, and Activities Office, and spending
a year at LaSalle Manor Retreat Center near
Aurora, IL.
On August 29, I got married to Bridget. She just graduated with a Masters
of Professional Accountancy and has started with John Deere. I have been
blessed to have this opportunity to serve Saint Paul the Apostle Parish and
the Quad Cities Community. We had fun at the Oktoberfest and we have
scheduled a lot of youth events that are coming up. Check the Youth columns
in the Parish Bulletin and the Parish Center bulletin board. |
